Royal Warrant Holders

A Royal Warrant of Appointment is a document which recognises a company as an ongoing supplier of goods and services to the Royal Household. Warrant holders are granted the privilege of displaying His Majesty’s Royal Coat of Arms in association with their business.

Royal Warrants have been granted for centuries by Monarchs and senior members of the Royal Household. Currently, there are over 800 Royal Warrant Holders, representing many trades and industries.

As far back as the Middle Ages, patronage in the form of Royal Charters were given collective to various trade and craft guilds as formal recognition to suppliers of goods and services to the Sovereign.

Since then, there have been many examples through history of suppliers of goods and services being formally appointed at court, from Wildfowl supplies, to watchmakers, pin makers and more.

Over time this changed to the current system of formally issued Royal Warrants. Consequently, any company that receives a Royal Warrant joins an institution of recognition and quality that extends back centuries.

For Morplan, the Royal Warrant certifies that we have been appointed ‘into the place and quality of Supplier of Clothing Related Equipment’. This includes providing retail fixtures and fittings for the Royal Palace gift shops, as well as dressmaking equipment for the Royal Household. This is something Morplan have been working very hard in ensuring we supply products meeting The Royal standard continuously for the last 30 years.

The Royal Warrants are renewed for up to a five-year period each time, with each renewal, the company is assessed again to see it still conforms to the quality and ethics of the Royal Household.

Consequently, over the 30 years Morplan has been honoured to be a Royal Warrant Holder, we are proud to have been found to constantly provide goods and services to the standard of the Royal Household.
